August 7-12, 2005 in Baltimore, MD. Hosted by the American Meat Science Association and the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Scientists and support scientists from FTSL will be participating in this meeting.

Conference entitled "Food Safety and Quality Monitoring." Oct. 25-29 in Philadelphia, PA. Scientists from FTSL will be participating in this meeting.

July 2004: Institute of Food Technologists annual meeting and Food Expo

July 12-16 in Las Vegas. Scientists from FTSL will be participating in this meeting.

July 2004: American Society of Animal Science joint meeting with ADSA and PSA

July 25-29 in St. Louis. Scientists from FTSL will be participating in this meeting.

June 2004: 57th Reciprocal Meat Conference

The 57th Reciprocal Meat Conference will be held June 20-23, 2004 in Lexington, KY at the University of Kentucky. Several scientists and support scientists from FTSL will be participating in this meeting.

April 2004: BARC Poster Day

Dr. Jitu Patel received an Honorable Mention prize for his poster entitled "Hydrodynamic Pressure Processing, Blade Tenderization, and Food Safety." Poster Day was held at the ARS National Visitor Center (Log Lodge) on April 29, 2004.

November 2003: Israeli Biosecurity and Food Safety Tour

Visitors from Israel visited several BARC laboratories, including FTSL, as part of a Biosecurity and Food Safety Tour.
